Country From My Head Down To My Boots

I was driving in my car this morning (without the carpool) and a song I haven't heard in a while came on the radio. Barbara Mandrel's "I Was Country, When Country Wasn't Cool." It was the version with George Jones' tid bit at the end. What a classic. This is the song I choose long ago to be the song that sums me up, my theme song, my anthem if you will. I always enjoy hearing that song when it comes on, which is rare these days. However, with just a few chords I was totally taken back. My sisters and I had a Barbara Mandrel 8-track (it was blue) and we would listen to it over and over. I remember each of us standing on a step of the step-ladder in the garage pretending to be the Mandrel sisters singing "You Can Eat Crackers In My Bed, Anytime, Baby". What a great memory. I have always been country, only once or twice have I been cool. (I was pretty cool that day in the garage.)
What's your theme song?

hehehe.... Before I found Andrew, I would have to say that my theme song (or one of them) was the Urban Cowboy soundtrack CLASSIC "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places".

I am still trying to figure out my theme song! Kristi you sure ask some questions that make me think.

Of course, when I mentioned the gist of the post to Seth and asked him what song he thought of for you he said, "Here's a Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares." Do you remember that?? I think you left a lasting impression with that song suggestion. Boy, isn't that funny to think about now??

JA...by the way, what was that cheesy (John Michael Montgomery) song that Seth left on our answering machine that time? That was classic Seth.
